Karen Stubbs is an author and speaker based in Atlanta, Georgia. Her ministry, Birds on a Wire, grew out of her experience shepherding young moms, encouraging them to seek God in these busy years with young kids. “It’s so important to nurture your soul,” she says. Birds on a Wire is now a robust ministry offering blogs, curriculum, and assorted online resources for moms nationwide, such as her Wire Talk Podcast.
Karen’s book Moments with God for Moms has sold over 65,000 copies. Her newest devotional, Moments with God for Teen Girls, encourages teen girls to turn from anxiety to confidence, understanding their deep identity in Christ.
Karen also created our 101 Lunchbox Notes for Girls, 101 Lunchbox Notes for Guys, and Inspirational Lunchbox Notes!
Karen’s experience as a young military wife and mom prepared her for future impact. She knew the isolation many moms experience going at it on their own.
Her ministry started with a Bible Study for young moms in her basement and has grown to include books, a podcast, plus a small group curriculum.
The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom, an inspiration because of how she and her sister Betsy prevailed with God’s help. Also A Man Called Peter and Christy by Catherine Marshall, good stories about folks who felt and followed the call of God.
