Ben Patterson has been the campus pastor for Westmont College in Santa Barbara for over 23 years. He has contributed to Christianity Today and Leadership Journal, and has been a contributing editor and editorial writer for The Wittenburg Door. With a decades-long career in ministry, Ben has served as the dean of Hope College after working for New Providence Presbyterian Church of New Jersey; as the founding pastor of Irvine Presbyterian Church in California; as the youth and adult education minister at La Jolla Presbyterian Church in California; and as the assistant minister to college students at First Baptist Church of Pomona, California, working with the Claremont Colleges. Ben earned his Masters of Divinity from the American Baptist Seminary of the West. He and his wife, Lauretta, have four adult children.
